Glassy Mountain Fire Service Area Commissioners are elected every four years in a general election. Anyone who is registered to vote and lives within the GMFSA is allowed to cast their vote. Commissioners serve a four-year term. They are not compensated in any way for their services. The elected commissioners also oversee the budget and operations of the Glassy Mountain Fire Foundation.
