Check with your local Fire Department for other rules and regulations (DHEC)
Burning hours are from 9 am and burn piles cannot be added to after 3 pm. (DHEC)
Outdoor burning shall consist of yard debris and other wood materials that do not produce toxic gases. Household trash and construction debris cannot be burned. (DHEC)
Shall not be conducted less than fifty (50) feet from any structure. (GC)
Must be attended by a competent person until extinguished. (SC Law)
Burning is prohibited on roads and road drainage right-of-ways. (GC)
Fire damage or illegal burning may be punishable by fines. (SC Law)
Provisions shall be enforced by the Fire Chief or designee. (GC)
